In the 2nd week of July I will be heading down to Colorado to climb 4 different 14,000 ft. peaks in four days. In preparation I am hiking the ski runs here in Whitefish, Montana. Our Big Mountain ski resort is only 7,000 ft. so it won't help much as far as preparing for the thin air at 14,000 feet -but the runs are very steep and when hiked they can get you out of breath in a hurry. And the views from the top are even more breath taking than the hike up. From the top you can see the peaks of Glacier National Park on one side and Whitefish Lake and the surrounding valley on the other side.

Stay tuned for pics from my trip when I return.
